Before I was able to sit down and enjoy it, my coffee had cooled significantly. The kiddos we taking extra care to enjoy every last bit of their cereal and I was trying to get a head start on my morning dishes. Trying. Bubby was the first to finish his cereal and he came to me, a twinkle in his eyes and a yearning in his heart, and asked me, “Mr. Peabody? I. Watch. Mr. Peabody?” How can I say no to that? It is Saturday afterall and I let chores slip to the wayside on the weekends.
Bubby has to wear glasses because he inherited my terrible eyes (sorry son) and I can’t help but feel he has a fondness for this movie because both main characters wear glasses as well.
This movie has been played in this house at least two dozen times. It is a movie we can all watch and enjoy equally.
So here I sit, snuggled up with Sissy and Bubby, Littlest laying back in his pack’n’play, drinking my lukewarm coffee, and watching the very family friendly Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Chores can wait, I’m enjoying this peaceful moment with my kids.
